The Decamex® process is a dry, on-line or off-line cleaning process. It applies to air condensers and cooling towers mostly in refineries and petrochemical industries and is a suitable means to remove the oily deposits, resins or dust from the finned tubes.

The Decamex® is sprayed using compressed air directly onto the fins. It quickly cleans the metallic surfaces with no abrasive effect thanks to the use of low pressure compressed air. The cleaning operation is followed by a light rinse in order to eliminate the Decamex® residues on the fins.

The Decamex® process is mainly used to clean "critical" air cooled heat exchangers and allows these facilities to recover close to design values running characteristics.
